HAIKU - PALINDROME

HAIKU - PALINDROME
(Dalibor Drekic, Belgrade, Serbia, july, 2011.)

1.
Live not on evil.
Evil, a sin, is alive.
Lived as a devil.

2.
Madam, I'm Adam.
Eve damned Eden, mad Eve.
Cain: a maniac.

3.
Red rum, a murder.
Are red rums murder era?
No, it is opposition.

4.
Dogma? I am god.
War-distended nets I draw.
Now see bees I won.

5.
No iron on Orion.
O, stone, be not so.
No Omen on in one Moon.

- This is my haiku created from palindromic sentences.

Wow!

That's beautiful, and even more so since it's not your first language. I haven't written any palindromic haiku, but Dan Drasin wrote:

Ukiah's pot tops haiku.

(Ukiah is a city in Northern California.)

You may be interested in issue #4 of the Palindromist, the Poetry issue, which has Sotadic verse in many forms, including an article on haiku. Thanks for sharing, Mark
